Early Childhood programming at HPNC includes Weekday Play-N-Learn, a program designed to meet the developmental needs of children from birth to four years old, a Caregiver’s Fitness Class on Friday mornings, and HPNC’s Childcare Information and Referral Service.

Morning Play-N-Learn CLASSES and TOT LOT are CANCELLED beginning Monday, 3/14/20 due to COVID-19 concerns. We hope to re-open soon! Follow us on Facebook to stay in touch – share photos of what you’re doing at home!

HPNC’s Play-N-Learn Program offers a combination of informal playgroups, structured learning activities such as Messy Art, Musical Story Time, Creative Movement, Yoga, and more! Play-N-Learn also includes HPNC’s longest running program, Tot Lot, which provides indoor play time with a multitude of equipment.  Here, toddlers run off steam and develop gross motor coordination while encountering opportunities for socialization, taking turns and learning to share.

Tot Lot has a special Fundraiser happening in February and March! We are raising funds to improve Tot Lot Toys and supplies. Click here for more information and to chip in – no amount too small!

Tot Lot Parties are a popular part of HPNC’s Play N Learn Program. Our next party will be on Friday, May 8th! We will welcome spring and celebrate mothers everywhere with special Mothers Day crafts – a perfect gift for the moms and grandmothers in your life!

Our Childcare Information and Referral Service provides parents a highly personalized information about local childcare options.  We also provide guidance for parents unsure of what the best fit is for them when comparing the pros and cons of daycare centers, homes, and nanny care.  Depending on family needs and priorities, we are able to make specific referrals or assist in choosing between options that the family has already found on their own.

Drop-in Information and Referral Sessions are held on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 10 – 11 a.m. Parents, prospective parents, and childcare providers are all welcome! March and April sessions are temporarily on hold due to the COVID-19 public health threat. Need help now? Feel free to request information any time over email.
